Betregions is a reading site: there are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no tracking cookies. This page explains the little information that is involved when you visit.
Who we are
Betregions (betregions.com) publishes guides to betting sites in African markets. You can contact us about this policy or your data at [email protected].
No accounts and no forms
You do not need to register or give us any personal details to read Betregions. The site has no login, newsletter sign-up or comment forms.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Betregions does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools. Our pages load their fonts, scripts and images from our own server, so no third-party services are contacted while you browse our pages.
Information stored on your device
The country map on our homepage remembers the last country you selected, so it can open on that country next time. This is stored in your browser’s local storage under the name “br-country”, stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Server logs
Like most websites, the server that hosts Betregions keeps standard technical logs of requests: the IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time, and the page you came from. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, are not used for advertising and are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
Links to bookmakers and other websites
Links to bookmakers go through a redirect address on our domain (www.betregions.com/go/…) before reaching the operator, so that request appears in the same server logs as any other page; no cookie is set and nothing else is recorded. When you follow a link to a bookmaker, regulator or support service, you leave Betregions and that website’s own privacy policy applies. Bookmakers and their affiliate programmes may record that you arrived from Betregions in order to calculate our commission; see our affiliate disclosure. Check the bookmaker’s privacy policy before you open an account.
If you email us
If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023, Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019, South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act and Ghana’s Data Protection Act 2012 give you rights over your personal data, including the right to ask what we hold about you and to ask us to delete it. Betregions is intended for adults who are old enough to bet legally where they live. Our guides are not directed at minors.
